Scientists in Reproductive Technology SIRT

Scientists in Reproductive Technology (SIRT) is a special interest group (subcommittee) formed under the auspices of The Fertility Society of Australia.

The Aims of SIRT are to:

professional excellence;

research; and

dissemination of information

Membership of SIRT is only open to current financial members of The Fertility Society of Australia.

Ordinary Membership is open to tertiary students and scientists actively engaged in clinical or non-clinical science associated with the field of human reproduction. New members are to be nominated and seconded by current financial members of SIRT and membership is ratified by the SIRT Committee.

Associate membership is open to any persons and/or organizations that have an interest in and support the aims and objectives of SIRT. Concessional membership however does not entitle access to accreditation/educational systems nor access to ordinary members details.
In addition to the annual subscription to FSA, the cost of membership to SIRT is:

Ordinary Membership - $55.00 (inclusive of GST)
Student Membership - $27.50 (inclusive of GST)
Associate Membership - $82.50 (inclusive of GST)

SIRT has two meetings per year: A one day meeting held in association with the annual scientific meeting of the FSA and the second meeting is the SIRT mid-year meeting usually held over a weekend during March/April. The registration fee for the mid-year meeting is $55.00 (inclusive of GST) for all current SIRT ordinary members and includes accommodation at the meeting venue. SIRT strongly encourages all its members to attend.

SIRT has close ties with overseas embryology groups.
