Fertility Nurses Australasia
Fertility Nurses Australasia (FNA) represents nurses working in reproductive medicine in Australia and New Zealand. The organisation originated in 1990 as the Nurses Special Interest Group. The name was changed to FNA in 1997.
FNA was established under the auspices of The Fertility Society of Australia and it welcomes the on-going generous support of Serono, Organon and Bayer Health Care.

FNA promotes education by: |
organising educational workshops and local meetings; |
purchasing books for all units; |
providing financial support for nurses attending Annual Meetings of the Fertility Society of Australia; and |
promoting interaction and networking with Nurses working in infertility in other countries. |
FNA also supports nursing-based research and encourages nurses to present at conferences.
The organisation also publishes a newsletter and contributes to the FSA Newsletter. It promotes networking between nurses and elects a representative to the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee.
FNA provides support for the nurse representative on each local FSA organising committee, encourages nurses to be members of the FSA and maintains a register of nursing staff for all units in Australia and New Zealand.
