Dr. Illingworth is a general representative.
Stables, Mr Roger
Mr Stables is the representative for Finance/Business. He has worked in a senior management position of Repromed for the last nine years. He holds a Business Degree (Accounting Major) from the University of South Australia and has six years of experience in business services roles with Chartered Accounting practices. He has served several years on the Executives of the IVF Administration Managers Group and Australia-Indonesia Business Council (SA Branch).
Peek, Dr. John
Dr Peek is a general representative with a long-standing interest in effectiveness and access to fertility services, and public funding of services. After being Laboratory Director of ART clinics in New Zealand from 1984 to 1999, John now focuses on overseeing science and quality in the Fertility Associates clinics.
Lieberman, Dr. Devora
Dr Lieberman is the representative for Fertility Control. She is a gynaecologist at Sydney IVF, where she is Director of the Miscarriage Management Program, and has an active infertility practice. Dr Lieberman is also President of Family Planning NSW and Vice President of Sexual Health and Family Planning Australia.
Brown, Ms Sue
Ms Brown is the nursing representative. Sue has worked in the field of ART for twelve years, the last seven years as Nurse Manager at REPROMED in South Australia. Sue is a member of FNA and has been the FNA representative on the Reproductive Technology Committee for the past five years. Sue has a particular interest in Quality and Risk Management in ART units. Chapman, Prof. Michael
Prof. Chapman is a general representative. He gained his Degree in Medicine from the University of Adelaide where he specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before moving to the UK. Whilst in the UK Prof Chapman developed extensive experience in infertility, hormonal disorders and ART and worked at Queen Charlottes Maternity Hospital as Lecturer. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and gained his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of London. He was appointed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of London.
Clark, Dr. Anne
Dr Clark is the representative for Clinical Medicine. Anne qualified as an obstetrician/gynaecologist in the United Kingdom in 1986 and moved to Australia in 1990 to work at the Reproductive Medicine Unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide. In 1996 Anne moved to New South Wales and in 1997 started Fertility First. Anne is a sub-specialist in reproductive infertility and was the first woman, with one other, to gain this qualification in Australia.
Graham, Ms Anne
Ms Graham is the psycho-social representative and a member of ANZICA. She has worked as a counsellor at Repromed for many years. Her previous work includes being Social Worker in a busy Neonatal Unit and involvement in the National Association for Loss and Grief (NALAG) and the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support group (SANDS) stem from this time.
Hale, Dr. Lyndon
Dr Lyndon Hale has been co-opted to fill a casual vacancy created by the retirement of Dr. Adrianne Pope from a general position.
Hammarberg, Dr. Karin
Dr Hammarberg is a general representative. She was born in Sweden where she worked as a Registered Nurse and Midwife before joining Scandinavia's first IVF team in 1984. Between 1988 and 2000 Karin was the Program Co-ordinator of Melbourne IVF. Since 2000 she has been a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne working on projects focusing on the psychosocial aspects of infertility and assisted conception. She was awarded a PhD in 2006 after completing a study about women's experience of birth and early mothering after assisted conception.
Junk, Dr. Stephen
Dr Junk is the scientific representative and a member of Scientists in Reproductive Technology (SIRT). He is the Scientific Director at Fertility Specialists in Western Australia. Dr Junk is a member of RTAC PGD committee and the NH&MRC Licensing Committee. He is the previous Chair of SIRT and the SIRT representative to RTAC.
Simpson, Ms Samantha
Ms Simpson is a general representative with major interests in embryology and the introduction of quality management systems throughout ART clinics. She has a Master of Science degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and has worked in the field of ART for the past 12 years. She currently holds the positions of laboratory and administration manager at Hunter IVF and is an active member of the SIRT group. EX-OFFICIO MEMBERS
DILL, Ms Sandra Kaye
Sandra Dill AM, BComm, has acted as the consumer representative on national and state government working parties reporting to Health Ministers on ART since 1986. She has been invited to bring consumer perspectives on infertility to organisations including: the World Health Organisation, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Japan Society of Fertilisation and Implantation, the Bertarelli Foundation, the US Centers for Disease Control, the Australian Medical Association, the Plunkett Ethics Centre, the Victorian Infertility Treatment Authority, the SA Council on Reproductive Technology and the Fertility Society of Australia. She has represented consumers on FSA Council since 1990. Sandra is studying for a Masters degree in Law and her major research project examines surrogacy, bioethics and the law. Sandra's experience over 12 years of medical treatment has included eight IVF attempts, IVF miscarriage, facing a decision to cease treatment and living with involuntary childlessness.
PETRUCCO, Dr. Ossie
Dr Petrucco is the Chair of the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee appointed by the FSA Board in 2006 for a term of 3 years. Ossie has over 20 years experience in assisted reproduction and has extensive experience in quality management systems. Ossie has served on the RTAC Committee and assisted with the revision of the new Code of Practice. Ossie has also been involved in ISO 9001:2000 auditing processes at Repromed.
SULLIVAN, Dr Elizabeth
Dr. Sullivan is the Director of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare National Perinatal Statistics Unit. Liz oversees the ANZARD data collection from all ART units and is responsible for the publication of the annual report 'Assisted reproductive technology Australia and New Zealand' which provides information on all pregnancies and infants resulting from the use of assisted conception techniques.
